"I Am From" by Aaliya Martin

I am from my drawings, acrylic paint and coconut oil. I am from persistent, adventurous compassion that feels like and explosion of color and pure creativity.

I am from the sun, the moon and all the all the bright and colorful stars that stretch across the galaxy.

I am from the big 4th of July celebration, and the extreme rounds of manhunt. From Raina and Aaron, and of course Angus. I am from the wild dance parties and blowing everything up with fireworks.

I am from going to get the belt, and not touching anything in the store. I’m from the light and magic form the gods of space and time. I am from Halloween, mangos, and rice. From the time Angus almost caught fire, to the time we actually set someone’s car on fire.

I live in front of a camera behind the editing and in the meaning.

I and from light, ambition, pure creativity, and the debts of the long-stretched universe.

I am Liya
