"Nurse's Office" by Anonymous
“She’s so gorgeous,” he thought as he watched her grab her books out of her locker. He had been crushing on Elle for months, but just didn’t know how to tell her. What if she didn’t feel the same way? But what if she did feel the same way?
“You know I’m just gonna do it,” he thought. He recalled his pick-up line he’d been dying to tell her for months. He walked over, palms sweaty and a lump in his throat. He was feet away from her all ready to make his move, when suddenly another boy walked over and put his arm around her as they walked to class.
He was furious. He had been stalking her Instagram for months. How could he not have known about her boyfriend? He punched the locker only to bruise his knuckles.
“Could this day get ANY worse?” he screamed, getting him lots of dirty looks from other kids. He didn’t care though. He just wanted to be with Elle.
He walked to the nurse to get an ice pack for his raw knuckles. He opened the door to see Elle, her beautiful eyes and her long dirty blonde locks.
“What happened to you?” Elle asked. He couldn’t tell her he punched a locker. She’d think he was psycho.
“Oh, um I just um hurt my wrist when I was playing varsity football,” he fibbed. An awkward silence filled the room. He sat down on the cot next to hers. “So, um what sport does your boyfriend play?” he asked. He hated to be blunt, but he just had to find out about this kid.
“My boyfriend?” she questioned looking puzzled.
“Yeah, I saw you in the hallway with him this morning,” he responded.
She giggled. “That was my brother.”
