"Colorful Life" by April Peles

I am from a life filled with many colors,

From the I am from my energetic black and white dog named Bernie,

From the orange, blue, and yellow rings he chews on.

I am from the varsity cheerleading team dressed in red and blue,

From the sidelines on Friday nights cheering on the red rubberish track.

I am from my golden blonde hair sister,

From the green palm trees where she lives in Hawaii.

I am from a house of a back yard with yellowing green grass,

From a pool filled with 15,000 gallons of refreshing crystal blue water.

I am from a colorful garden of a variety of vegetables,

From red, juicy, ripped tomatoes, and bright green, orange, and red sweet peppers.

I am from a house of coloration of sweets and sugars,

From rich red velvet cupcakes with vanilla icing and foaming root beer floats.

I am from a life full of color,

That changes as often as a kaleidoscope.
